“The Good Old Days” TV programme (which ran from 1953 to 1983) is a re-creation of the music hall variety shows that were popular in the late Victorian and the Edwardian periods.
Entertainers performed musical, comedy, magic and recitation acts on stage, in some cases in Edwardian costumes.
Even the audience was dressed in authentic 1900s costumes.
